RALEIGH, N.C. (September 15, 2011) – WakeMed Health & Hospitals is pleased to announce that Pandora Holloway has been named WakeMed’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Holloway has been a WakeMed employee since 1982, serving the system for the majority of this time as director of Compliance and Audit Services. In this role, Holloway managed the financial and operational audit functions for the system and was the key contact on HIPAA and confidentiality related matters.
Last year, Holloway was named the Interim Executive Director of Corporate Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer at which point she became responsible for all compliance-related activities for WakeMed. Her duties include ensuring compliance with the requirements in contractual agreements with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of the Inspector General.
Holloway is responsible for helping the organization stay abreast of laws and regulations, communicating changes, and providing education related to compliance matters. She will also identify challenges and work to strengthen our corporate compliance across the system.

Holloway holds a master’s degree in business administration, which she earned from Pfeiffer University, and is certified in Healthcare Compliance and as an Internal Auditor. Holloway is also a guest lecturer with the University of North Carolina School of Public Health, recipient of the WakeMed Circle of Quality Service award and is a member of the Garner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
