WakeMed offers a progressive career path that gives nurses the opportunity to pursue their professional goals, as well as recognizes and rewards nurses for their contributions toward improving patient outcomes.
Staff Nurse II: This designation is based on RN experience and requires completion of three approved projects within a six month period. Projects include but are not limited to nursing education, community education, unit-specific projects, etc. Compensation is 1.00 per hour in addition to the base salary rate.
Staff Nurse III: This designation is based on RN experience and requires completion of four approved projects within a six month period. Projects include but are not limited to nursing education, community education, unit-specific projects, etc. Compensation is $2.50 per hour in addition to the base salary rate.
Staff Nurse III: This designation is based on RN experience and requires completion of five approved projects within a six month period. Projects include but are not limited to nursing education, community education, unit-specific projects, etc. Compensation is $3.50 per hour in addition to the base salary rate.
