Ronald McDonald House
Family Room Kitchen
The WakeMed Children’s Hospital is home to a five-room Ronald McDonald House operated in association with the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. The Ronald McDonald House supports the families of our pediatric and neonatal intensive care patients, offering access to sleeping rooms, meals and activities that provide emotional support while keeping them close to their hospitalized infants and children.
The Ronald McDonald House on Raleigh Campus is located within WakeMed’s Heart Center Inn, located on the third floor of the Heart Center.
The Ronald McDonald House, located in the WakeMed Children’s Hospital, offers a private, relaxing space for family members of Children's Hospital patients as they endure a stressful life experience. Staffed with volunteers seven days a week, 9 am to 9 pm, the room is located just beyond the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). It offers:
- Comfortable couches
