In 2010, our dream of a new home for WakeMed Children's became a reality.  WakeMed Children's Hospital now brings together pediatric specialists - and the specialized services they offer - under one roof to ensure area families have access to the care they need and deserve. 

And considering that a new kindergarten class is born in Wake County every day, our new children's hospital will help meet the inevitable growth and demand for pediatric health care.

With the new Children's Hospital, our pediatric specialties continue to expand. Current pediatric specialties include surgery, diabetes, endocrinology, urology, endocrinology, radiology, pediatric intensive care, emergency medicine, ear, nose and throat, orthopaedics, neurology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, neonatology, rehabilitation, infectious disease, psychiatry and psychology.

Our pediatric services also reach beyond the walls of our Children's Hospital into our other facilities, where staff are skilled in caring for children of all ages.
