WakeMed currently has two locations in the Brier Creek area. This facility is the Emergency Department. The WakeMed Medical Park, on Cerny Street, offers physician offices and imaging services.
Conveniently located near the border of Durham and Wake counties, WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex offers outpatient health care services for the entire family. The facility houses a 24/7, full-service emergency department, comprehensive imaging services and an on-site laboratory.

WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex is located just east of Highway 70 at the corner of T.W. Alexander Drive and ACC Boulevard. Please note, the building is not visible from Highway 70. Surface parking is available next to the building, and patients can be dropped off and picked up under the covered entry via the circular drive.
Hours and Appointments
The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatient radiology hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Outpatient laboratory services are available from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Imaging Services (Radiology)
WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex Radiology offers comprehensive imaging services for adults and children:
Appointments for outpatient imaging services are readily available. Routine X-rays are performed on a walk-in basis. A physician's order is required for all exams. Please bring your physician order and insurance information with you. Imaging services are conveniently located on the first floor of WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex. All tests are performed by licensed radiologic technologists and interpreted by board-certified radiologists. Outpatient imaging services are available from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Laboratory Services
WakeMed laboratories rank among the most advanced and accurate in the country. Our on-site laboratory at Brier Creek offers specimen collection for a variety of tests. Most testing is completed onsite at the healthplex.
WakeMed's specialized laboratories are conveniently available to perform and interpret advanced tests on specimens from Brier Creek Healthplex patients. Appointments for laboratory services are not required. Please bring your physician order and your insurance information with you. Outpatient laboratory services are available from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Emergency Department
When you or a loved one needs immediate medical attention, it's a comfort to know that the full-service, WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex Emergency Department is nearby. Services for children and adults are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The emergency department includes:
- 12 private treatment rooms
- X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound testing
- An ambulance receiving area
- A dedicated patient reception and waiting rooms
WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex also receives patients by local emergency medical services. Patients who arrive in critical condition can be transported to the facility of their choice.
