RALEIGH, N.C. (February 4, 2020) – As the community continues to grow, WakeMed Children’s – the leading care provider for children and families – continues to respond to demand with its growing network of pediatric primary care and specialty providers and multi-specialty locations and new services.

Most recently, a multi-specialty practice opened in Clayton – a first for Johnston County – along with a pediatric primary care office. In addition, WakeMed Children’s expanded its specialties to include pediatric pulmonology and behavioral health.

WakeMed Children’s comprehensive services include primary, urgent and emergency care and pediatric specialties alongside WakeMed’s dedicated Children’s Emergency Department, Children’s Hospital and Level IV NICU. Our pediatric specialists and subspecialists serve patients close to their homes, with dedicated specialty practices in Raleigh, Apex and now, Clayton as well as children’s services in Apex, Brier Creek, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, North Raleigh, Raleigh and Wake Forest.

WakeMed Children’s recently opened its first two pediatric urgent care locations in Morrisville and Cary in partnership with PM Pediatrics, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric urgent care. Dedicated solely to the treatment of children and young adults, WakeMed Children’s-PM Pediatrics Urgent Care is open 365 days a year from noon to midnight.

WakeMed Children’s-PM Pediatrics Urgent Care is the newest addition WakeMed’s urgent care offerings, which includes WakeMed Virtual Urgent Care as well as brick-and-mortar locations in Cary, Forestville Crossing, Fuquay Varina, Garner and Raleigh – all providing care for children – and Wake Orthopaedics Urgent Care, dedicated exclusively to acute orthopaedic injuries.
