WakeMed Children’s to Open Pediatric Urgent Care Centers in Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. (April 1, 2019) –

WakeMed Children’s, the leading care provider for families and children in Wake County, and PM Pediatrics, the nation’s largest provider of pediatric urgent care, announce the opening of a pediatric urgent care office in Morrisville. This collaboration will bring premier pediatric urgent care to local families, featuring an exceptional child-friendly experience extending to nighttime hours so that children receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

WakeMed Children’s-PM Pediatrics Urgent Care is located on McCrimmon Parkway in Morrisville with plans for additional pediatric urgent care offices to open in northern and western Wake County. Providers with WakeMed Children’s-PM Pediatrics Urgent Care will treat children and young adults and offer the full spectrum of urgent care services.

WakeMed Children’s-PM Pediatrics Urgent Care is open 365 days a year from noon to midnight to treat non-life-threatening common conditions in newborn through college-age patients. Dedicated solely to the treatment of children and young adults, the practice is staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and pediatricians, and features onsite digital X-ray, EKG and laboratory. In addition to treating a variety of illnesses and injuries, including fever, infections, wounds requiring stitches, fracture management and respiratory care, the practice also treats dehydration, which is particularly important during cold and flu season and when treating heat-related illnesses.
