Frozen or hemolyzed specimen; quantity not sufficient for analysis; improper container.
Patient Preparation
Standard phlebotomy. Follow PurFlock buccal swab kit or Oragene Dx 500 saliva kit collection instructions. Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum 30 min prior to collection.
Instructions
NOTE: The most common specimen for collection is maternal whole blood. The specimen label will state "Ambient Lavender tube". if specimen will be other than whole blood, please see additional collection container information. It is acceptable to use the lavender label on other specimen types.
