Due to ongoing capacity constraints, WakeMed Emergency Departments only offer COVID-19 testing to people who have symptoms of the virus. While our Emergency Departments are always pleased to serve the community and will never turn away patients experiencing emergency medical conditions, Wake County COVID testing sites, WakeMed Urgent Care locations and MyCare 365 locations may be able to serve these non-emergent testing needs in a more timely manner.

At WakeMed Garner Healthplex, we're pleased to serve the healthcare needs of the southeastern Wake and Johnston County communities. Our team of highly trained emergency providers stand ready to meet the emergency needs children and adults 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This emergency department is backed by WakeMed Children's and Wake County's only Level I Trauma Center. Patients arrive via walk-in and ambulance.

Garner Healthplex Emergency Department includes:

• 12 private treatment rooms
• X-ray, CT scan and ultrasound testing
• An ambulance receiving area
• A dedicated patient reception and waiting room
