RALEIGH, N.C. (March 12, 2025) – Effective Wednesday, March 12, children under 12 will once again be welcome in all hospital nursing units and patient care areas across WakeMed. The decline in respiratory illnesses in our community prompts the return to normal visitation status.

Visitation restrictions help reduce the risk of infection for patients, and we are appreciative of the support and cooperation of our patients, their loved ones, and the surrounding community over the past few months.

As always, if you have symptoms of any acute, contagious illness, please do not visit WakeMed out of respect for our patients.
