About Me
Dr. Laura Edwards is a neonatologist with clinical interests in the follow-up care of premature and sick full-term infants after they are discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit. Since she began her medical career in 2011, she has been a resident physician in pediatrics, a fellow in neurodevelopmental follow-up and outcomes research, and a fellow in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Edwards has won numerous awards including Neonatal Intensive Unit Junior and Senior Resident Awards at Duke University Medical Center, and the Pediatric Academic Societies Trainee Scholar Award. She also participated in the Duke Research Training Program at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Edwards has published numerous articles for publications, and has presented on a variety of neonatal and pediatric topics at conferences across the Country.
In her free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
