About Me
Micaela Hofer is a board-certified physician assistant with WakeMed Heart & Vascular — Cardiology. She received her bachelor’s in biology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and master’s in physician assistant studies from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Hofer’s clinical interests include non-invasive cardiology, structural and valvular heart disease, complex percutaneous interventions, and emergency medicine.
Hofer believes that every patient who enters the hospital has a unique story. As a provider, taking the time to unravel this story and truly getting to know each patient allows her to care for every individual in the same way she would care for her own family. Outside of work, you'll find Hofer traveling, exercising, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Tarheels.
