Lab Services

The WakeMed Pathology Laboratories offer the highest quality, automated laboratory experience for physicians and their patients, with the most rapid turnaround time available for clinical and anatomic specimens.

Specimen collection is offered at the Medical Park of Cary, North Hospital, Apex Healthplex, Brier Creek Healthplex and Garner Healthplex, the Raleigh Medical Park, and the Physicians Office Pavilion at North Hospital.

The laboratories at Raleigh Medical Park and Cary Waverly Hematology & Oncology Services provide diagnostic testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, POCT, Urinalysis and Qualitative HCG on a STAT basis to aid clinicians in assessing and monitoring the health needs of their patients.

Comprehensive Lab Testing & Consulting Services

We offer the following comprehensive testing and consulting services:

• Anatomic Pathology (Cytology & Histology)
• Core Laboratories (Chemistry, Hematology, Special Chemistry)
• Special Testing Laboratories (Microbiology, Serology, Mycology, Urinalysis, Transfusion Services, Point of Care Testing)

With lab testing performed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our team can assist both patients and physicians around the clock.

Lab Locations & Hours

We offer convenient locations across Wake County in Cary, North Raleigh, East Raleigh, Apex, Brier Creek and Garner.

Specimens may be collected or dropped off at these locations during normal business hours.
