Laura Mayhall, CCC-SLP

Laura Mayhall is a speech-language pathologist with a broad range of clinical interests. Her passions for language, linguistics and cognition drew her to the field, and she has found much to love about speech-language pathology since beginning her career. Mayhall’s educational background in psychology has provided her with a strong foundation for understanding cognition, fueling her ability to counsel families. She truly loves working in all areas of clinical need and helping patients return to meaningful activities. She is a dedicated lifelong learner.

Mayhall believes that patients' personal goals and sense of autonomy are paramount. It is important to her that therapy is centered around what is important to individuals and what they want to accomplish in daily life. As such, Mayhall strives to work as a partner with her patients to help them reach their goals for improved speech, language, cognition, swallowing, voice and communication.

When not at work, Mayhall enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, reading fiction and nonfiction, practicing yoga, traveling, playing piano and clarinet and spending time outdoors.
