Parker Moore, PA

Parker Moore is a physician assistant with clinical interests in orthopaedics. He earned a master of physician assistant studies through the Duke University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Durham, NC. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Eugene A. Stead Society and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.

The central focus of Moore’s personal care philosophy involves giving patients the time and space to tell their story from their perspective. Patients see many providers during hospitalization. Knowing this, Moore strives to listen well during a patient’s time of vulnerability and distress. He believes patients come with the goal to feel better, fix a problem or cure a disease. As a provider, he encounters patients with his own goals to connect, gain trust, ascertain specific information, formulate a diagnosis and develop a collaborative treatment plan. Permitting patients to openly and freely describe their story supports teamwork between patient and provider, resulting in the best possible outcomes. 

When not at work, Moore enjoys sports (watching football and playing soccer and tennis), travel, finance, cars and music. He also appreciates anything that involves creating or building, and he is interested in learning and practicing Spanish.
