About Me
Abigail (Abby) Driest is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in head and neck cancer. She completed her undergraduate education at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC. She first encountered WakeMed ENT - Head & Neck Surgery during an elective rotation while pursuing her physician assistant degree at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. After completing an advanced practice provider fellowship in otolaryngology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, Driest returned to North Carolina and joined WakeMed.
Her patient care philosophy centers on educating patients about the underlying causes and pathophysiology of their concerns, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment options.
Outside of work, Driest enjoys running, practicing yoga, reading and spending time in nature.
