About Me
Dr. Bassam Rimawi is a maternal fetal medicine physician with clinical interests in infections, HIV, high risk, hypertension, and diabetes in pregnancy. Dr. Rimawi completed a fellowship in reproductive infectious diseases, prior to receiving his certification in maternal fetal medicine, and some of his other clinical interests include post-operative wound infections, multiple gestations and fetal abnormalities on ultrasound. Dr. Rimawi earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, West Indies and completed his undergraduate degree at Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Rimawi’s patient care philosophy is ensuring his patients receive the best care they can get and have a full understanding of how he can assist them with their pregnancy to ensure that they have the best and safest outcome. Dr. Rimawi treats his patients like his own family and he wants his family to receive the up most respect and knowledge on their medical conditions, and therefore he aims to do this for all his patients. Dr. Rimawi always wanted to be a doctor since he was a little boy and helping others is what makes him happy.
In his free time, Dr. Rimawi enjoys walking in the park with his wife and three daughters, running, swimming, and gardening. He enjoys taking part in community events, such as fundraisers, festivals, and medical workshops to help care for the people in our community.
