About Me

Dr. Carmen Beamon is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves as the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine for WakeMed Physician Practices and has clinical interests in prenatal diagnosis and intervention, preterm birth prevention and management of high-risk maternal conditions.

Dr. Beamon completed a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship and an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH), where she served as chief resident. She also received her medical degree, master’s degree in public health and bachelor’s degree in biology from UNC-CH. Dr. Beamon is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Dr. Baemon is a thoughtful and respectful provider in addition to being exceptionally knowledgeable about MFM. I would recommend her to any woman trying to conceive. She takes a long time with you, discusses pros and cons and helps you evaluate your health non-judgmentally.

Dr. Beamon was so kind in explaining in detail what we can expect moving forward. Most importantly, she was extremely patient and took the time to answer ALL of my daughters questions. Chrissy (I believe she was my sonographer)she was an absolute pleasure and ball of positive energy. She also explained what she was doing every step of the way. If I could request her every time I would. Thank you ladies and go team!

Expertise! For my situation, there are variable outcomes and all were explained to me calmly, simply, and without frustration. Considering this is a lot of information for me, I think Dr. Beamon showed a lot of patience with me so I can understand everything.

What was amazing and just was above and beyond was how she completely valued my opinion. She didn't over inform me nor treat me as uneducated with my health. I never felt rushed. She answered all of my questions and was honest! She wasn't judgemental at all. She was absolutely a pleasure and I was so grateful to have a wonderful experience!!

I appreciate the level of detail that Dr. Beamon provides. She takes her time and explain all potential scenarios and checks for understanding and makes sure that you are comfortable with the plan. Her staff is very personable as well.

Christy [], the ultrasound technician that cared for me during this visit was truly outstanding. The kindest and most respectful and genuine person I have ever encountered in a medical setting. Exactly the type of person I needed during the traumatic situation I was experiencing.

I was blown away by how genuinely kind every single staff member was. I felt very comfortable and well cared for. I had very positive feelings about the practice and Dr. B, and even remarked to my husband that I'd probably be comfortable with any provider there just because Dr. B seems to be an exemplary director and all the staff seem to embrace a positive culture
