About Me

Dr. Christy Baker is a board-certified family medicine physician with clinical interests in microbiology, immunology, cardiovascular health and mental health and wellness. She began her postsecondary education at the University of Maryland, College Park in College Park, MD, on a President's Scholarship. She attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA on full scholarship, as a Jack Aaron Scholar and National Health Service Corp Scholar. Relocating to York, PA, she then completed residency at WellSpan York Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. She brings a wealth of experiences from her public health service in medically underserved communities, ranging from inner city Baltimore to Louisburg, NC.

Dr. Baker focuses on patients from young adulthood through elderhood. She cares for a wide spectrum of illnesses, including diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety and depression disorders, migraines and heart disease. Her practice acknowledges the science and art of medicine. She deeply respects the doctor-patient relationship and healing that occurs over time. Dr. Baker utilizes prescription medications with a personalized and purposeful approach, and she values creativity, lifestyle changes and grace in the healing process.

Outside of work, Dr. Baker enjoys gardening, hiking, finding the perfect cup of coffee and spending time with family and friends.
