Dallas Banner, NP

Dallas Banner is a board-certified nurse practitioner for adult and geriatric populations. Her clinical interests include managing erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate cancer and overactive bladder. She began her education at Howard University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in biology. She completed an additional bachelor's degree in nursing while attending University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Charlotte, NC. She remained there to finish her master's of nursing.

Banner aims to care for patients in the same manner that she would want her loved ones cared for. She takes pride in teaching, and she uses this skill to connect and create positive relationships with patients. She is passionate about health literacy, health education and personal empowerment. In her experience, limited health literacy negatively impacts a patient's health status and his/her use of the health care system. This is why she is committed to equipping patients with the knowledge needed to prevent disease and/or manage disease processes. She hopes that by promoting health literacy and education, her patients will not only be informed but will feel empowered to become active participants in their health care. Outside of work, Banner enjoys spending quality time with friends and family by vacationing, participating in game nights, being a foodie, going to the movies or enjoying live music.
