About Me
Dan Regan is a doctorate-prepared physician assistant with clinical interests in advancements in ventricular assist devices, valve surgery and efficient recovery following cardiac surgery. He also enjoys teaching, lecturing and precepting physician assistant. He loves cardiothoracic surgery and finds minimally invasive valve surgery and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) very interesting. He began his postsecondary education at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA. He went on to complete a masters of physician assistant studies through Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. He then completed a doctorate focusing on minimally invasive cardiac valve surgery, blood product utilization and cost at Trident University in Cypress, CA.
Regan embodies a philosophy centered on compassion and empathy, firmly believing that patients should be the sole focus of his efforts. He advocates for a model of care that prioritizes the patient’s needs, emotions and dignity, treating each one with the same level of respect and consideration he would desire for himself if he were in their position. By adopting this patient-centric ethos, Regan not only seeks to enhance the quality of care but also aims to foster trust and rapport, ultimately empowering patients to actively participate in their own healing journeys.
Outside of work, Regan loves to read, fish, hike and spend time with his wife and daughters.
