Elizabeth Mizelle, DO

Dr. Elizabeth Mizelle is a doctor of osteopathic medicine who is passionate about lifestyle medicine as well as prevention and reversal of chronic diseases. She finds that traditional, western medicine is an invaluable tool to guide us toward healing. However, with so many medical inequities, she observes we can make a greater health impact by the choices in our everyday lives, such as monitoring what we eat, our activity levels, stress levels, sleep hygiene, social networks and toxin exposure. As such, she appreciates her opportunity to teach patients how to take control of their health, navigating these pillars. Community outreach is also very important to her. Within her community, she leads Walk With a Doc and gives talks at local schools and organizations.

Dr. Mizelle firmly believes that patients possess an intrinsic understanding of their own bodies, which is why she prioritizes creating an open and inviting environment where they feel empowered to express their concerns and experiences. This patient-centered approach is not just a professional stance; it reflects her genuine respect for patients’ individual narratives. Outside of work, Dr. Mizelle enjoys traveling abroad and spending time in nature as a lifelong student of herbalism and gardening. Additionally, as a creative, she enjoys painting, creating clothing designs and developing natural products for her friends and family.
