About Me
Emily Coats is a board-certified nurse practitioner with clinical interests in the complexities and challenges of caring for trauma patients as no two patients are exactly alike. She earned her undergraduate degree through East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She went on to complete her master of science in nursing with a concentration in dual role adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner family nurse practitioner while attending University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.
Coats’ personal care philosophy involves caring for patients with the level of empathy, compassion and medical expertise she would deliver to her own family. Believing that collaborative communication is vital, she works alongside patients to develop treatment plans that meet individualized health care needs and align with patients’ goals.
Outside of work, Coats enjoys working out, making sourdough and spending time with her two kitties.
