About Me
Dr. Erin Ripley joined WakeMed Neuropsychology in 2021. Her clinical interests include developing resilience and fostering quality of life in individuals and families who have experienced life changing injuries or diagnoses. Dr. Ripley completed her graduate studies in clinical psychology at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship in neurorehabilitation at Rehab Without Walls in Phoenix, Arizona. She specializes in providing intervention and neuropsychological assessment following catastrophic neurological injuries for adolescents and adults.
Dr. Ripley approaches interventions from a patient-centered perspective, acknowledging that individuals have unique backgrounds, personalities, and strengths prior to their admission to rehab at WakeMed. Her interventions focus on adjustment to injury, illness, and medical condition, and attempt to use the strengths and qualities of the individual to identify meaningful goals and activities that will optimize their quality of life and resumption of their closest sense of “normal” possible. Outside of work, Dr. Ripley enjoys being in nature, staying active, hiking, and CrossFit. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
