About Me
Dr. Jennifer Peterson is a board-certified pediatric physician with clinical interests in preventing chronic lung disease of prematurity, optimizing growth and nutrition in preterm infants, and encouraging breastfeeding. Dr. Peterson received her medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and is fellowship-trained in neonatal-perinatal medicine from Duke University and University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Dr. Peterson is passionate about family-centered rounds and including families in the decision-making process for their infant. Dr. Peterson enjoys building a bond with her patients’ families and feels that parents are a vital part of the medical team. As a mom, Dr. Peterson feels motherhood has made her even more compassionate in providing the best care to critically ill infants. Outside of work, Dr. Peterson values spending time with her husband and their three children. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and relaxing at home.
