Kelly H. Smith, NP

Kelly H. Smith is a nurse practitioner in hospital medicine provider with clinical interests in pediatric chronic disease and neonatology. She also has a special passion for global pediatric health since she was incredibly fortunate to spend a month in Tanzania caring for pediatric patients and learning about resource allocation and disease prevention. As a mom, herself, she also enjoys caring for families during the newborn period and cheerleading and encouraging families as they enter parenthood!

Smith believes in family-centered care — whether it be for acute illnesses, chronic conditions, newborns or teens. She loves to work with families to help care for their children in the best way possible, always keeping in mind the importance of honesty, collaboration and compassion. She finds it a true privilege to work with children and their families during some of their most vulnerable times, and she is honored and proud to do so.

Outside of work, Smith spends as much time as possible with her daughter, husband and Bernedoodle, named Champ. The family travels often, making good use of their toddler’s passport! On weekends, they try new restaurants and breweries, and Smith does her best to try any, and all, Instagram-worthy recipes.
