About Me
Lindsey Garrett is a doctoral-level physical therapist with clinical interests in the treatment of cardiopulmonary patients with breathing, endurance or activity tolerance issues for any medical reason, but most commonly the following: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, other pulmonary conditions requiring use of supplemental oxygen as well as heart and vascular issues and post-COVID 19. She also has interest in treating patients with dysautonomia associated with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and other conditions. She completed her undergraduate education at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She then earned her doctorate degree from Elon University in Elon, NC.
Garrett believes patient care should be individually tailored and holistic in nature. She encourages a trusting patient-provider relationship as she understands it is vital to patient success in the rehabilitation journey. She emphasizes strong rapport with each patient, fostering a supportive environment that empowers patients to meet their goals. She strongly advocates for patients to be in control and aware of their health decisions and believes that patient education holds the key to strong and successful outcomes.
Outside of work, Garrett enjoys traveling to new places, working on craft projects, attending hurricanes games with her fiancé as well as exploring farmer's markets and nature trails with their dog.
