About Me
Markiesha Edgerton is a nurse practitioner with clinical interests in cardiology and women’s health. Edgerton earned two bachelor’s degrees — with the most recent in biology through Barton College in Wilson, NC. She also earned two master’s degrees, the latter being a master of science in nursing through Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She then completed a doctorate of nursing practice at University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH.
Edgerton’s personal patient care philosophy maintains that a patient is a person undergoing a sometimes life-changing condition. Her goal is to listen and collaborate for educated, clinical decisions with the goal of improving overall quality of life.
Outside of work, Edgerton enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with family.
