About Me
Matthew Pace is an aeromedical physician assistant with clinical interests in urgent/emergent care settings. In this setting, he feels he can do the most good for the maximum number of patients.
Pace served his country and brings his military skills to serve WakeMed patients. He earned a bachelor’s degree from The Citadel in Charleston, SC and a master of physician assistant studies through University of Nebraska Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He also received training through the United States Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Captains Career Course (CCC) and completed the US Army Flight Surgeon course.
Pace’s personal philosophy is patient-centered, ensuring the foremost focus is the well-being of the patient. With that goal at the forefront, Pace works toward a shared understanding of patient conditions to encourage buy in and best treatment outcomes.
Outside of work, Pace enjoys hunting, playing video games and working in his garden.
