I meet Dr. Wrench when I was admitted to Wake Med. Hospital. He listens to what you have to say, caring, & makes sure you understand what's going on and what neds to be done, if anything.
Matthew Wrench was excellent. I am a retired nurse and I can say , without question, that Matthew is an excellent, all around nurse practitioner.
Matthew is knowledgeable,professional and is never rushed.He takes time to explain things in a simple understandable way,I look forward to my cardiology appointments with him,he even took time to learn a few words of my native language and greets me in my native language.A reason to smile every time he says goodmorning in my language.

1. Mr. Wrench was very good. Knew my case and had studied the details. Was caring and friendly and did not try to rush me out the door as I was entering it. Good discussion of my medical issues, suggestions for continued care and treatment, and possible future plans. In short , he acted like a decent healthcare provider who actually cared about the patient and helping the patient. Can't say enough about that!!!! 2. The check in lady and the checkout lady were both very kind, friendly, yet professional. They acted like they were glad to assist you. Not always the case!!

This was my first visit with NP Matthew Wrench. I was more than impressed with him. Instead of a "doctor visit" it felt like a "doctor" visit with someone I had known all my life. I told Dr. Matt I have the highest regard for Wake Med. Whomever does the hiring for Wake Med has a special ability to find the best persons for every position from surgeons, doctors, nurses, cleaning staff and the food is great. My overall care by doctors, nurses, aides, PAs, etc was kind, professional and caring.
From food service to house keeping, nurses to doctors everyone we met went above and beyond in being kind, understanding and most of all knowledgeable.
The way Mr. Wrench sat straight in front of me and spoke directly to me in a loud enough voice I could hear. He answered my questions and concerns clearly.
Scheduling was good, being seen on time
Mr. Wrench did an outstanding job of integrating all my presenting information and involving me and my husband in developing a treatment plan. He was so personable and patient, even though I was a late-in-the-day "work in." He explained everything clearly to both of us, which I was especially grateful for since I was still woozy from cataract surgery that morning.
It was a follow up visit. He explained to me everything in simple man terms which I greatly appreciated.

My visit with Dr. Matthew was a follow up from my stay in the hospital. He was very kind and explained things to me that i wasn’t sure of and he wrote down things to help me to remember what i needed to have done, the things i had to do at home. I had some concerns about how dizzy I was and sent a message on My Chart. Within 2 hours I got a call from Dr Mat and he explained what he thought the problem was. Very concerned and took time to talk to me and adjusted my medication. I was very impressed!!

I just like the folks at Wake Med. Wake has the best Cardiac Care Center in Wake County. Until hospitals started competing with each other all other hospitals sent their cardiac cases that needed the best care to Wake.

Mishel was very professional taking and recording blood pressure, blood ox and pulse as well as the EKG. For a young lady she provides a very good impression of WakeMed. Matt Wrench reviewed the results and discussed the finding as well as portions of the screening questionnaire. He was also personable and we spoke about the current practice of medicine in reference to heart health. Yes, I would recommend this team to friends and family requiring care.
