Meredith Shillinglaw, PA-C

Meredith Shillinglaw is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests in critical care, cardiology and palliative care. Shillinglaw completed her bachelor’s in nutrition science at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the physician assistant program at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Before joining WakeMed, Shillinglaw worked as a physician assistant in inpatient cardiovascular health care. Shillinglaw is an active member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA).

When caring for her patients, Shillinglaw approaches each patient individually and assesses their goals for their future. She wants her patients to come out of the hospital living the life that they picture for themselves. Shillinglaw strives to use lifestyle modifications and movement before pharmaceuticals. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband. They enjoy the outdoors, camping, snowboarding, exercising and hiking. Shillinglaw also enjoys playing with her two rescue dogs, Mango and Cashew.
