About Me
Neel Patel is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physician with clinical interests that span the field of electrophysiology — from implantable devices utilizing physiologic pacing to ablation of complex arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation (AFib), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation.
Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences in New Brunswick, NJ. He then completed medical school at Rowan University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ. He continued with residency training in internal medicine at Drexel University, College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He completed fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania – Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Patel has and continues to contribute to the field of electrophysiology through research and is interested in innovative advancements in the field of ablation. He has earned many awards and honors, presented abstract and oral presentations as well as authored numerous publications.
Dr. Patel treats patients with respect, valuing their preferences, needs and goals. He offers clear, open and honest communication to patients, explaining conditions, treatments and options in understandable terms. Through provider-patient collaboration, incorporating a team-based approach, he offers the most comprehensive care in the diagnosis and treatment of complex arrhythmias. He also remains on the cusp of medical research and the forefront of innovation to identify novel ways to treat his patients. Overall, Dr. Patel applies these principles to create a supportive, respectful and effective health care environment that promotes the well-being and recovery of all his patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys playing sports, traveling and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
