I recently had my first visit with Dr. Nirmala Narasimha and it was a delight. She immediately made me feel very comfortable and it felt as if she had been my doctor for years. I am very happy to have found a primary care physician that I feel I can trust and connect with.

My visit to WakeMed was excellent! The facility was clean, well lit, all of the staff were very professional, and helpful! I recently relocated to NC from New Jersey. My husband needed an appointment a few months ago, we met Dr Nirmala for the first time. Although it was our first time meeting her she was professional, treatment, care was excellent. My husband was there as an Afib patient as well as a Prostate Cancer survivor. He required specialist. At my own appointment in March I again saw her for my care. Dr Nirmala again showed professionalism, listening to my concerns, after reviewing my records from my previous doctors made assessment of continued treatment, care. I decided that day to choose, request Dr Nirmala to be my choice as my primary doctor. She listens, made a great assessment of my symptoms and prescribed further referrals to doctors who are neurologist - specialists for further treatment of arthritis, osteoporosis, and orthopedic for a previous condition.
The provider has great communication with patient
Dr. Nirmala is an EXCELLENT care provider. She was my PCP in downtown Raleigh, and when she alerted me of her move, I followed her to her new practice. Well out of my way, but also well worth it. I am so happy Dr. Nirmala is my Doctor. Very attentive, very caring, excellent listener, and takes time to ensure I understand everything we are discussing. I actually had an Rx? the next day, used the myChart chat feature and she responded same day! I trust my health with Dr. Nirmala!

This is my third try at finding a doctor and office I feel comfortable at. The front desk, nurse, and physician were all friendly. The doctor did not rush me and was thorough. She cared about as a person not a number unlike the physician at UNC and the other private practice I went to.
She listened and responded appropriately to my questions and concerns. She did not once “shame” me into “wasting” her time as Dr. [ ] did, nor did she tell me how busy she was like Dr. [ ]. She was exactly what high quality care looks like!

Discussing a plan of care and actually involving me (the patient) in the plan. Like asking me what would I like to see next, which meds would I like to stop taking and how we can get there.
Dr. Nirmala Narasimha put me at ease right away and was helpful and caring about my concerns. She gave full explanations for her medical recommendations and helped me learn more about medications I am taking. I didn't realize that one of them may cause serious side effects for me in the future, but she was patient and helpful by letting me know about this. In addition, she lined up help with a specialist who called me within a few days of the visit. I was worried about changing medical providers, but now I feel good about my new doctor and no longer worried about my health future.
Dr. Narasimha called the following day to verify I was able to be seen by an optometrist. It was wonderful to hear her concern and have her follow up. Amazing job!

I think everything went well with the visit. It was a new patient visit. I was a few minutes early for the appointment and was seen on my appointment time. The nurse was great going over my record, etc. The doctor spent all the time we needed discussing past issues and present needs. All went well and I'm happy with my choice of doctors.
The front desk was nice and the attending nurse was very cooperative specially the Doctor, she was outstanding. The doctor, she was very friendly and treat me very closely and explained very nicely regarding my physical condition. Prescribed me a medication which is necessary for me to take periodically.

Dr. Narasimha listened, took my symptoms seriously, and got me an appointment in radiology the same day. She called me three times in two days to ensure that I had followed up on the radiology visit (Raleigh Radiology did not share my results with WakeMed so she was unsure if I had gone) and to help me understand the results and next steps. She demonstrated a commitment to my care, and I am thankful that she is my physician.

I think the Doctor was very aware of my independence handling my own healthcare, however, she took it over and all the doctors that I need to see have been scheduled for appointments.
