About Me
Olivia Pate is a physician assistant with clinical interests in general medicine and gastroenterology. She earned a bachelor’s degree while attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She went on to complete her master of medical science in physician assistant studies through Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC.
Pate’s patient care philosophy revolves around patient education as it helps to establish trust between provider and patient. She believes it additionally helps ensure patients understand their disease process and treatment plan as this gives patients agency in decision making.
Outside of work, Pate is an avid reader. She also enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband.
