About Me
Simona Ilizarov is a board-certified physician assistant with clinical interests encompassing procedural medicine and both acute and chronic conditions within gastroenterology. Ilizarov is passionate about integrating nutrition and holistic care into the management of these conditions. She earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX.
Ilizarov’s approach to patient care emphasizes empathy, active listening and collaboration. She is committed to treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms, taking into account each patient’s values, preferences and lifestyle. Ilizarov esteems building strong and trusting relationships with patients to ensure they are actively involved in their care decisions.
Outside of work, Ilizarov enjoys learning new recipes, traveling, painting, exercising and spending time with friends and family.
