About Me
Tina Jackson has more than 25 years’ experience as a cardiology nurse practitioner. Her clinical interest is in general cardiology. She earned her undergraduate degree at Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA. She went on to complete her master of science in nursing through University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.
Jackson’s approach to patient care emphasizes the importance of understanding individuals within their broader contexts. Rather than viewing patients as isolated entities, she recognizes that each person exists within a complex web of relationships and environmental influences that significantly impact their health. This holistic perspective encourages Jackson to consider not just the symptoms presented, but also the underlying factors that contribute to a patient's condition. By engaging with patients, their families and their social surroundings, she gathers collective information that helps form a comprehensive picture of their needs and circumstances.
Outside of work, Jackson enjoys running, reading, crocheting and spending time with her husband, Darren, as well as her children, grandchildren and bulldog/boxer mix.
