Shoulder Replacement

In some cases, replacement of the shoulder, called arthroplasty, may be required.

When patients have large rotator cuff tears, surgeons may perform reverse total shoulder surgery.  This approach focuses on repairing the deltoid muscle, rather than the cuff muscle, to achieve improved range of motion.
