Parentcare
Parentcare is a group that was established uniquely for the care and support of parents whose infant or child (from conception to one year of age) has died. The idea for this group grew out of an increasing awareness of the loneliness and continuing grief experienced by parents who have had a baby die. Many parents ultimately turn to paid professionals for help in coming to grips with their loss, and while this may be needed sometimes, our belief is that through sharing and support by parents in similar situations much healing can occur. In short, bereaved parents are not “sick;” their feelings are legitimate and can be openly expressed at Parentcare.
Parentcare is...
- Caring for parents who have experienced the death of their child
- A place to share, a place to support each other
- And a respect for the time it may take to cope with the loss
Parentcare meetings are free.
The only prerequisite is that you are a parent who has had a child or infant die.
