Kick it 4 Kids
During the annual Kick it 4 Kids kickball tournament, teams go head-to-head in fundraising on the field. 100% of dollars raised directly benefit WakeMed Children's.
Donor Appreciation Gala
The Appreciation Gala serves as a “thank you” event to recognize the Foundation’s most generous donors. Community leaders, grateful patients, corporate partners, volunteers, employees and physicians join together for a night of celebration.
Love Light
Each December, Love Light donations are made in honor or memory of someone special. A tradition which first started in 1985, these gifts are a great way to give back to your community while remembering a loved one or honoring someone special. Offered throughout the year, impact events offer attendees an opportunity to hear directly from WakeMed leadership about the innovative programs and quality care WakeMed is providing to our community and how philanthropy is supporting WakeMed’s impact. Join the Society of 1961
Donors who invest $2,500 or more a year become members of the Society of 1961, named in honor of WakeMed’s founding year. Society members have made health and well-being a top philanthropic priority. The Foundation benefits from their trust, vision and generosity. Members receive an invitation to our annual Appreciation Gala and enjoy other opportunities to get an up-close view of the transformative power of health care — by interacting with the best minds and the biggest hearts across the WakeMed Health and Hospital system.
