CapRAC Training Schedule
CapRAC regularly hosts training opportunities at the regional disaster training & response facility in Garner, NC, for regional partners and SMRS members. Registration for all classes is through TERMS.
Courses that are offered periodically throughout the CapRAC include:

- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Rural Trauma Team Development (RTTDC)
- Advance Burn Life Support (ABLS)
- State Medical Assistance Team, Type II (SMAT)
- HAZWOPER Training
- Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS)
- Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS)
- Incident Command System
- First Receivers Decontamination Training
- Healthcare Emergency Management for Continuing Care Agencies
- Hazard Vulnerability Analysis for Healthcare Agencies

Initial SMAT Training Course
CapRAC offers SMAT Initial Training courses throughout the year. This course follows the State's revised SMAT curriculum. SMAT Initial Training is a basic requirement of the team and should be completed within 6 months of registering for the team.
