Welcome
The WakeMed Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program Welcomes You!
WakeMed Surgical Critical Care (SCC) Fellowship program is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship for those interested in the care of critically ill patients. The WakeMed SCC Fellowship program provides the highest level of training possible, culminating in eligibility for American Board of Surgery Certification in Surgical Critical Care.
We are proud to offer this learning experience at WakeMed Raleigh Campus, a high-volume level I trauma center, which serves more than 4,000 trauma patients annually. Our facility features a dedicated surgical ICU, three medical ICUs and a pediatric ICU. Located in the heart of Raleigh, in the middle of North Carolina, WakeMed serves as a major referral center for the state’s most complex and critically-ill patients.
The strength of our program lies in our diverse and passionate group of surgeons who have been providing graduate medical education for decades. Our faculty are skilled clinicians and celebrated educators who look forward to providing support and mentorship to learners who will appreciate both the volume and acuity of care that our program is able to offer.
In addition to personalized education, our year-long fellowship training allows fellows to explore various aspects of surgical critical care. We provide a variety of learning opportunities through simulation, participation in the ASSET course, ultrasound training and individualized support by our Clinical Research Institute.
Please contact LaDe Rogers, Program Coordinator, if you have any questions.
