Mother’s Milk Bank
Our WakeMed mother's milk bank provides babies admitted to our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with rich the nutrition available only through breast milk. Our goal is to make sure your baby can access breast milk for all its benefits while receiving medical care in our NICU.
NICU
Our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) cares for our tiniest, most vulnerable patients — giving them the very best chance of surviving and thriving throughout their lives. You can count on the neonatal specialists at our Level IV Regional NICU at WakeMed Raleigh Campus, our NICU at Cary Hospital and our Level II Special Care Nursery (SCN) at North Hospital to provide the highest quality care and to empower you as a parent through shared collaboration, clear communication and personalized support.
Well-Baby Checkups
And soon after you take your baby home, we’ll welcome you to our WakeMed Pediatric Primary Care for well-baby checkups that will continue through the first year, so your baby grows healthy and strong. Our desire is to build a trusted relationship with you and your newborn, for care that extends from infancy to old age.
