From Baby Basics to Child Care tips, WakeMed Children’s offers a variety of classes for both new and experienced parents.

Lactation Support

Research shows women who have the most support are able to successfully breastfeed for longer periods of time. If you’re choosing to breastfeed, we are glad to provide classes and support groups to give you the information and encouragement you need. WakeMed Children’s also offers a Mothers’ Milk Bank to benefit babies in our neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
