Know Where to Go for Care

About WakeMed Urgent Care
When the unexpected strikes, WakeMed Urgent Care is here to help with exceptional, compassionate care.
WakeMed Urgent Care has been serving the Triangle area for more than a decade, offering a broad range of medical services for adults and children age four months and older. Walk-ins are always welcome, but you can always visit us online or call to get estimated wait times. Our goal is to accommodate you as quickly and conveniently as possible.
*How We Calculate Wait Times
Our estimated wait times are based on a two-hour average and are updated every 30 minutes. Estimated wait times reflect the time from check-in to care being initiated by a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. But, since no two people — and no two injuries or illnesses — are alike, your wait time may be longer or shorter than estimated.
When to Visit an Emergency Department
WakeMed Urgent Care should not be used as an alternative to emergency medical treatment. If you are having a life-threatening emergency such as chest pain, stroke or major injuries, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department — WakeMed offers emergency services in many convenient locations in Raleigh, North Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek and Garner, as well as the area’s only dedicated Children’s Emergency Department.
About On My Way
You can let us know if you are on the way to a WakeMed Urgent Care facility. On My Way is not a scheduled appointment. By letting us know that you are on your way, our care team can start preparing for your visit which may minimize your wait time. We do our best to ensure that priority is given to patients experiencing the highest level of illness and injury in a timely manner.
About Insurance We Accept & Paying Your Bill
WakeMed Urgent Care locations and Wake Orthopaedics Urgent Care accept these insurances. WakeMed Children's PM Pediatrics Urgent Care accept these insurances. Additionally, WakeMed Children's PM Pediatrics patients should pay bills using this portal. All other WakeMed Urgent Care patients can pay thier bills through WakeMed MyChart.
Physicians and radiologists providing medical care in WakeMed Emergency Departments are not employees of WakeMed. We contract with Wake Emergency Physicians, PA and Raleigh Radiology Associates for these services. As a result, you will receive a separate bill for their services.
